Swiss marine power company WinGD has signed a long-term service agreement (LTSA) with Hong Kong-based OPearl LNG Ship Management, which manages a fleet of LNG carriers. The 15-year LTSA, signing at Marintec in December, covers 14 vessels and will ensure optimal engine performance, reliability, and efficiency as OPearl continues to meet the increasing demands of global LNG markets.

A new study released today by WinGD Ltd. and Envision Energy shows that under moderate regulations, green ammonia could achieve operating cost parity with VLSFO and LNG - even without subsidies.
Combining real-world data on fuel pricing and lifecycle emissions from Envision's exiting production with performance and emissions data from WinGD engines already installed, the findings point to a clear pathway for commercially viable near-zero emission shipping.
By 2050, green ammonia could even outperform LNG on cost.
